Federal Skilled Trades Program – Express Entry Immigration
Express Entry is Canada’s selection process, which is the first step to being selected for this program.
The Federal Skilled Trades Program addresses serious labour shortages across Canada’s economy.
The Federal Skilled Trades program makes it easier for you to immigrate to Canada as a skilled tradesperson.
The program is designed to attract qualified skilled tradespeople who have a minimum of two years’ work experience to become Canadian permanent residents.
Economic growth is strong in Western Canada. British Columbia and Alberta construction industries will benefit considerably from this program. By the year 2025, 320,000 new construction workers will need to replace those who will be retiring in order to keep up with the high demand the industry is currently seeing.
BC’s government is projecting that among the one million job openings expected by 2025, 43 percent will require skilled workers.
